Welcome

NEWS-PRESS PHOTOS

Join us for the 32nd running of the Santa Barbara News-Press Half-Marathon and 5k Run for Fun. This is Santa Barbara's premier footrace with the start, finish and post-race activities taking place at beautiful Leadbetter Beach.

The News-Press Half-Marathon race course is a semi-challenging run/walk through Santa Barbara's central beach community and the exclusive Montecito area. This scenic course passes by a bird refuge, Santa Barbara's Pacific oceanfront, Stearns Wharf and Shoreline Park. Enthusiastic beach area crowds and a multitude of course volunteers will encourage you to achieve your best. Aid stations will provide both water and energy drinks at 2, 4, 6, 7, 9, 10 and 12 mile points. Enjoy post-race activities under the palm trees with your friends and family.

The Santa Barbara Run for Fun 5K is a run/walk along Santa Barbara's West and East Beach areas. It's a festive, fun event for everyone - so bring the whole family! Strollers, children and walkers are welcome.

Your race entry fees will benefit two important local organizations. During the past decade, the race has donated more than $350,000 to youth athletics thru the United Boys and Girls Club, the Santa Barbara Athletic Association and most recently the Santa Barbara News-Press Student Athlete Scholarship.

Plan on enjoying a great race this year in Santa Barbara!
