Schneider to head VISTAS board

Charlie Schneider was named board chair of VISTAS Lifelong Learning. Mr. Schneider is a native of Scarsdale, N.Y., and retired to Santa Barbara in 1998 with his wife, Jane. He is a longtime board member of the Channel Islands Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Other VISTAS board officers include Peter Kruse, vice president-curriculum; Warren Elliot, vice president-operations; Nan Gartrell, chief financial officer; Joy Parkinson, membership; Barbara Keaney, secretary; and Earl Morley, past president. VISTAS is a self-governing educational organization providing peer-led, in-depth discussion seminars and lectures for adults.
