Ingrid Sarrat was named president of the Santa Barbara Newcomers Club. Mrs. Sarrat moved to Santa Barbara in 2002 from Los Altos Hills by way of Westport, Conn. and has been an active member of the club since she arrived. She is a freelance floral designer. She is also involved in working with the United Way, Mental Health Association of Santa Barbara and the mentoring program through the Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse. The Santa Barbara Newcomers Club is open to new members of the community and has more than 35 activities each month, from beach walking, games, dancing and socials.
